PS4 account on PS5

Despite having a home video game console, we somewhere have a soft corner for playing console games on PC with a controller or playing them with a Keyboard or mouse. PlayStation 5 is the ninth-generation video game console from Sony Interactive Entertainment. We have already guided you before regarding playing a game on PS5 using Keyboard and Mouse (you can head here to read that article). However, in this article, we will be guiding you about how you can play PS5 games on PC using the Remote Play App. If you would also like to know how to do it, continue reading this article till the end.

Remote Play is a service, or say, a product from Sony to assist its video games consoles, i.e., PS3, PS4, and PS5 for transmitting its audio and video output to another device. There are many platforms on which you can transmit the games you wish to play including Windows, macOS, Android, iOS, PSP, and PS Vita. However, we will solely be focusing on using the Remote Play App for playing PS5 games on Windows PC in this article. So, here is everything you need to know about it.

Play PS5 Games on PC with Remote Play

This process includes multiple steps. So, make sure to carefully follow them to be successful at it.

  1. Firstly, you will have to enable Remote Play in the settings of PS5. To do that, head to this path: Settings > System > Remote Play > Enable Remote Play.
  2. Secondly, you will be required to connect your PS5 controller to the PC. The most reliable way of doing this is through USB, but you can opt for Bluetooth connectivity also.
  3. Now, the next step is to install the Remote Play application on your PC. Ignore this step if you have already installed it. Else, follow these steps to do so:
    1. Head here to visit the official website of PS Remote Play.
    2. Click on the option that says “Control your PS5 console from a Windows PC”
    3. Click on Install the App
    4. Check the license agreement and privacy policy
    5. Click on Download
    6. When downloaded, install it normally to the C Drive.
  4. Now, open the Application and sign in with your username and password. Make sure that your console is not switched off while doing this step.
  5. After opening it, you will be able to see your profile icon. In the Settings option, you can check Use Keyboard if you wish to use it.
  6. Fire up any game and try to play.

Important note: If you are facing input lag, try to shift from wireless connection to a LAN connection on both, PS5 console and PC.
