music over PS5 Livestream

Do you know that you can play background music while doing Livestream from your PS5. So if you want to make your Livestream more entertaining, this article is for you.

PlayStation 5 or PS5

PS5 is the latest home video game console made by Sony Interactive Entertainment. It was launched on November 19, 2020, worldwide. It is available in two versions: Standard PS5 and Digital PS5 with the main difference of the presence of a disc drive. The latter does not have one making it cheaper than the standard version.

Other than this PS5 provide players with stunning graphics and comes with a whole new controller and just like the previous version of PlayStation it also offer players to Livestream directly on YouTube and twitch.

So to start the Livestream you just need to click on the create button on your controller and select broadcast, after this, you just need to select on which platform you want to stream on and write a title for your stream.

Now let’s see how you can play background music on your stream.

For this, you will need a splitter cable for your auxiliary cable. Just like this:

Splitter cable

If you are using a wireless headset, you must connect it to the splitter cable with an auxiliary cable and you will need a second auxiliary cable that will go into your PC/Phone in which you want to play music.

The process is very simple.

  • Connect the splitter to the controller.
  • After this on the split side connect your headphones and auxiliary cable which will go to your MP3 device in which you will play songs.

And you are all set.

Something you should keep in mind while doing this.

  • All the auxiliary cables and splitter should have three lines on the connector as shown in the above picture.
  • Never play copyrighted songs on your stream because you will get a copyright strike on your channel if you play them.
  • In the output device in the sound setting of your PS5 make sure that Headset(controller) is selected.

So keeping these things in mind now you just need to start the Livestream and play music on the device that you have connected and this will do the trick.

And that is it for this article and if you have any doubts feel free to ask us as we are always happy to help
