When a trainer (player) has to catch a Pokemon, he has to throw a Pokeball towards the Pokemon present in the wild to catch it. You get XP for catching a Pokemon. The Amount of XP that a trainer gets from a throw depends on the level of the throw. There are several categories of a throw made by a trainer. They are:
- Nice Throw: 10 XP to 20 XP
- Great Throw: 50 XP to 100 XP
- Excellent Throw: 100 XP to 1,000 XP
There are several tricks that you can follow to catch Pokemon through great throws and earn more XP. In this article, we are going to talk about such tricks only. So, here is everything you need to know.
Excellent and Great Throws: Tricks
Circle Lock Method: This method includes canceling a throw. If you are throwing a Pokeball to catch a Pokemon and somehow you mess up your throw, then, you can hit the Pokeball fast and cancel your throw. You can practice this trick several times. This trick works best on the Pokemon which are farther away from you as you get some time to judge your throw and canceling it. You must consider high-level Pokeballs to catch higher-tier Pokemon. There is a possibility that if you use a low-level Pokeball to catch higher-tier Pokemon, it will break out.
Freehand Method: This method is not as efficient as the circle lock method, but it can fetch you great results if you focus on your practice. If the Pokemon seems to be an attacking one, you can feed it nanoberries to catch it. You can practice on Smeargle for infinite times to set your hand at it.
Always remember that you have to gently toss the Pokeball every time. Do not try to throw it hard as it will not catch a Pokemon and it will run away.
