Or are you enjoying the game after its global release on June 19, 2024? Regardless of this, you might be wondering about how you can even kick the ball in-game? Well, don’t worry, we have got you covered!

What is the point of playing a sport named “Football” when you are unable to kick the ball in the first place? Well, if only kicking the ball in the game was as intuitive as in real life. Anyway, with a bit of practice and this guide, you will soon be mastering kicking mechanics in the game. Whether you’re lining up for a crucial field goal or adding extra points after a touchdown, here is how you can kick the ball in EA Sports College Football 25.

How to kick in College Football 25?

How to kick in College Football 25

The kicking mechanic is a bit different in College Football 25, which may be why you are struggling with it. So, without any further ado, let’s break down this mechanic. First of all, the kicking meter in College Football 25 is used for field goals, kickoffs, and punts. It consists of two main parts:

  • Side-to-Side Accuracy Meter: This part of the meter determines your accuracy. Your goal is to stop the meter in the green middle section for the most accurate kick.
  • Power Meter: The second part of the meter fills up horizontally to indicate the power of your kick.

How to kick?

Now that you have understood the basic meters and components of kicking the ball, here is a step-by-step breakdown of how to do the same.

  • Initiate the kick: Begin by lining up your kicker using the left stick to aim within the goalposts or towards your desired target for kickoffs and punts.
  • Set Accuracy: Press the designated button (X on PlayStation or A on Xbox) to start setting your accuracy. The accuracy meter will move from side to side. Your aim should be to stop the accuracy meter in the green middle section for the best shot!
  • Set Power: After setting your accuracy, continue holding down the accuracy button (X or A). The power meter will begin to fill up horizontally. The longer you hold down the button, the more power your kick will have.
  • Execute the Kick: Once you’ve set the power and accuracy, release the button, and that should trigger the kicking animation!

Tips and Tricks

For field goals and extra points, aim to send the ball through the uprights. For kickoffs and punts, aim to reach your target or kick it deep downfield. And don’t forget, practice is key to mastering the kicking mechanics! so keep adjusting your timing and power based on distance and game situation to improve your accuracy and effectiveness.

Well, you should now be able to kick the ball in College Football 25, whether you’re aiming for precision on field goals, launching deep kickoffs, or strategically placing punts.
