How to Fix PS5 Controller Won’t Connect to PS5

Is your PS5 controller having issues while connecting to your PlayStation 5? Well, don’t worry; today we’ll show you how to fix this issue. Let’s get into it.

  • For the foremost stop, you will have to completely turn your console off. To do so, just head over to your console and press the power button till all the lights go off. Make sure that your console is powered off and not in rest mode.
  • Now, you want to take your USB cable and plug it into your console. Once the USB cable is in, connect your controller to the USB.
  • After you connect the USB, press the PlayStation button on your controller, your console will power on and your controller should be connected. If this doesn’t work, then you might need to reset your controller by sticking a small pin in the hole located on the back of the controller.

If your controller still doesn’t work, then try this.

  • Grab a second controller and connect it to your PS5. Once your console starts up, open your settings menu and go down to the Accessories menu.
  • Now, once you’re in the Accessories menu, locate the controller that isn’t working and delete it. Once the controller has been deleted, grab the faulty controller and enter sync mode. This can be done by holding down the share and PS button together.
  • Once your controller is in sync mode, head back to the Bluetooth accessories menu and you should be able to find the faulty controller. Try and connect to your PS5 and you should be all done.

Make sure that no other devices are interfering with your controller while it is in sync mode. Delete your controller from any other devices that you use it on. If you performed all the steps correctly, the controller should now be working.
