How to fix the Can’t buy games from PlayStation Store on PS5 issue?
We know just how annoying that you can’t buy games despite having a dedicated Store on your PS5 console. Luckily there are a few things that you can try to fix the store bug, which will let you buy and download games on your next-gen console. Check out the fixes below to fix the issue that prevents you from purchasing games.
- The first thing that you have to do is go to “Settings” on the top right side of the home screen of your PS5 and tap on “Users and Account”.
- Scroll down to “Others” and select “Restore Licenses” after that, it will ask you to confirm it, select “Restore” then select “Yes”. This will close all the applications and restore all the licenses.
- Launch PlayStation Store and see if it’s allowing you to buy games.
- Head back to the Accounts tab and select “Payment and Subscription” to manage your payment methods.
- Under Payments and Subscriptions, select “Add Funds”, select your credit card and add funds prior to buying the game. Select the amount that you’d like to buy the game.
Delete your credit card from your PS5.
You can also try to delete the credit card from your PlayStation 5 and add it again to fix the issue. Follow the steps to do that.
- Select the Payment Method from the Payment and Subscription tab, locate your credit card, go to options and select “remove”. Add credit card/debit card on the left side and once again add it. If that doesn’t work, see the next step below.
- Head to the “Accounts” again and navigate below until you find the “Address” option and try a different location. Otherwise, if your postal code is wrong from your credit card region, change the postal codes.
Download the PlayStation app
You can bypass the PS Store bug by downloading the PlayStation app and making purchases from the PlayStation Store on that. Head to the PlayStation website, sign up with the credentials of your PS account and buy the games online via a web browser.
