Nvidia answered questions regarding latency by bringing out the Nvidia Reflex. Here, the Nvidia Reflex decreases the amount of time taken by a frame to be rendered and then send it to your monitor. Henceforth, we get to see a reduction in latency. Along with this, it is also related to FPS and Refreshing Rate. This feature is still in development and is not available for all games. But read this article, where we share all the details on enabling Nvidia Reflex for games that have access. You can also follow this tutorial for games once the new driver becomes available for all.
But in an official statement earlier, the graphic card manufacturers announced how this would be available for many more popular titles.
Enabling Nvidia Reflex
To update the Nvidia Reflex, we can update the Nvidia Graphics Driver from GeForce Experience (the Nvidia software) or directly go to Nvidia’s website. From here, we need to get the latest drivers. If you check for NVIDIA Driver Downloads, you will be asked to select the following as part of manually finding game ready drivers:
- Product Type
- Product Series
- Product
- Operating System
- Download Type
- Language
Henceforth, upon searching, we will get the latest version for download. After the driver gets installed, restart your PC for a clean download. Therefore, from here, we will get to see a clean installation. We also need to change Low Latency Mode. For this, we need to access the NVIDIA Control Panel.
Changing Low Latency Mode
- Right-click on your Desktop and choose Nvidia Control Panel from the drop-down menu.
- From here, you will see a range of tasks on the left-hand side.
- We would go for 3D Settings. From here, select Manage 3D Settings
- As the Manage 3D Settings opens up, we will see two options: Global Settings and Programme Settings.
- We would go for Global Settings. Under it, we will get the option of Low Latency Mode
- Therefore, change the Low Latency Mode to Ultra
Apply Nvidia Reflex in Game
We would apply the changes in a game compatible with Nvidia Reflex. For this, we would go to Fortnite as it is one of the compatible games. As the game begins, go to Fortnite settings and change the display to Full Screen. After this, head towards the Advanced Graphics option. Under this, you will get to see the Nvidia Reflex Low Latency. Switch On (or use On +boost) and the driver would be applied. Therefore, you can enjoy a better gaming experience with the new Nvidia driver.
