GTA5 passive mode

If you have played GTA 5 online then you must know that there is no way you can play it without getting killed by other players and if you enter a lobby where there is plenty of players, you will be killed just after spawning and this cycle will repeat, so for those who want to play GTA 5 peacefully there is a mode called “passive mode”.

Passive mode

To play peacefully and enjoy GTA 5 without getting killed there is the mode i.e. the passive mode which makes your character immune to PvP fights and melee attacks and likewise prevents you to inflict any damage on other players. The player will appear as a ghost when he is in passive mode to another player and vice versa.

Conditions

There are some instances in which a player can’t turn on the passive mode that is if you are president of a motorcycle club or you are a CEO or VIP.

In passive mode, the player can’t be able to take part in any Free mode events or Business battles.

  • If you join an event, you will be kicked out if you enter passive mode afterward.

One thing to note is that if you leave passive mode there will be a 30 seconds countdown and after this countdown, the passive mode will go off and you can’t re-enter the mode for 5 minutes.

How to Enable/disable passive mode

Passive mode can be enabled/disabled through the interaction menu on every platform. The interaction menu can also be used for various other things.

For instance, it can be used for setting waypoints (GPS), consuming snacks, etc.

How can you open the interaction menu?

  • For pc, you just have to press the “M” key which will open the interaction menu.
  • In PS4, you have to press on the touchpad and it will open the interaction menu.
  • For Xbox one, you have to press the “view button” to open it.
