Steps to delete save data for Forza Horizon 4 on Steam –

  1. First and foremost, you have to go to Steam > Settings > Cloud. In the Cloud Settings, you have to disable the Steam Cloud Sync option. This is necessary to prevent the restoration of saved files. Then, you have to exit Steam completely.
  2. Next up, you have to go to the following location on your PC – C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata. Here, you have to find a folder with a name that has your Steam ID. (You can find your Steam ID by going to the web page of your profile >> copy your profile page URL >> then, go to Steam DB and paste the URL >> click enter to find out your Steam ID).
  3. Now, you have to go into the folder that has your Steam ID as its name. Inside the folder, you have to find the folder that has the game’s ID. Then, you have to go into this folder.
  4. Inside the game’s app ID folder, you have to go into the “remote” folder.
  5. Then, you have to find the UserData.sav folder and delete it.
  6. Finally, you can simply launch Steam again. Likewise, re-enable the option for the Steam Cloud Sync and launch Forza Horizon 4 to start afresh.

Steps to delete save data from local files on PC(Windows 10 Pro only) –

  1. First and foremost, you can simply go to your PC’s local files.
  2. Next up, you have to go to the following folder path – C:\Users\*username*\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.SunriseBaseGame_8wekyb3d8bbwe\SystemAppData and find the “wgs” folder.
  3. Finally, you can delete the “wgs” folder to delete the local save files.
  4. After deleting, try launching the game and it should start from the beginning.
