Sony’s PlayStation is one of the best gaming consoles available right now, and you can do quite a lot of gaming if you have it. But that is not all! You have this PlayStation Plus subscription available for you as well! For those who do not know, a PS Plus subscription is the paid version where you get a better and more premium gaming experience.

But the problem is that once you subscribe to the PS Plus, it is set automatically on auto-renewal. And after your current plan expires, the amount you chose is automatically deducted from the card you used.

Well, this is not something everyone wants, right? So can you cancel the PS Plus subscription on PS5 & turn off auto-renew? Yes, you can! And it is rather an easy process! Follow the below-given steps to cancel your PS Plus subscription, turn off auto-renew and stop your credit card from getting charged automatically –

Cancel PS Plus Subscription and Auto-Renewal

  • For this, you need to access the payment and subscription page. There are two different ways in which you can access this page.
  • In the first method, you need to turn on your PS5 and go to the Settings option. Click on it next.
  • From the list of options available, go and search for Users and Accounts and then click on it.
  • Once you are on the Accounts menu, go to the Payments and Subscription menu on the right side. Click on it.
  • From the options available, scroll all the way down to Subscription and select that.
  • Once you have done this, you will see the PlayStation Plus option there. Click on it.
  • In that particular window, you will be able to view a lot of options like the start date of your subscription, the next renewal date, the membership you chose, the status of your subscription, etc. On the bottom, you will see two options – Turn off Auto-Renew and Extend. Since you want to cancel the auto-renew of your pack, you have to click on the first option.
  • Once you are prompted to confirm, just click on Turn it off. You will be asked the reason for the stoppage of auto-renew after that. Just choose any option, click on Ok and the auto-renewal of your PlayStation Plus subscription will be stopped.

We had discussed that there are two ways in which you can stop the auto-renewal of your PS Plus subscription. The second method is for those who can’t find the Payment and Subscription option under the Settings. Here is what you have to do next –

  • On the home screen, go over to the PlayStation Store.
  • Under that page, go over to the right until you find the option named More. Click on it once you find it. It is the three dots icon.
  • Once you are on the options list, go and select Subscriptions available in the list. You will be taken to the PlayStation Plus part. You have to follow the above-given steps after that to cancel the auto-renewal of PS Plus.
