Here is the good news for the fans of strategy games, and those of Age of Empires specifically. Relic Games have finally announced the release of the next Age of Empires venture and we are nothing less than super excited! Fans of the game have been waiting for a long, long time to catch a glimpse of the game, and finally, it is here.
We got to see the last part of the Age of Empire series way back in 2005. Yeah, if you remember it anymore! The AoE 3 was released a long time ago – more than a decade and a half – and we had no single news or info regarding the fourth part since then.
This fourth mainline entry in the series was first announced in 2017, and since then it had managed to go off the radar. Well, since we have the release date now, here is everything you need to know about the game –
AGE OF EMPIRES 4 RELEASE DATE
It was during the Xbox and Bethesda Games Showcase at E3 2021 when Xbox and Relic Games gave us the final release date of Age of Empires 4. Yeah, yeah, it has been sixteen long years! But the wait is finally over! The game will release worldwide on October 28, 2021, for Microsoft Windows and Xbox users. There is no info about the release on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S or PlayStation as of yet.
The game will release on Steam and Xbox Game Pass on the same date as well. The good to know stuff is that the game is already up for pre-order on various platforms, including Steam. So if you want, you can go grab your piece of cake now!
AGE OF EMPIRES 4 TRAILERS
We have a lot of trailers to watch when it comes to this game. The first teaser trailer ranges back to 2017 when the game was announced and we came to know that it existed. A relatively lengthy trailer was released in April. It gives a complete idea about the game in motion and also highlights some of the main features.
The gameplay reveals trailer was launched in 2019 and we loved it. But the best one so far has been the sweet and simple one we got to see during the E3 2021. Most recently, another gameplay trailer was launched during Gamescom 2021.
AGE OF EMPIRES 4 BETAS
Relic Games hosted a closed beta programme for the game in August this year. But it was available only for those who were a part of the Age Insider programme and was held under a strict NDA. Another closed best was held from September 17 to September 20 for those who were not a part of the Age Insider.
But there is no info about any other closed beta to be held anytime now. So players have to wait for the full release next month.
AGE OF EMPIRES SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS
Age of Empires 4 is going to release exclusively for PC and Xbox on October 28, 2021. Since the date is around the corner, you need to have your rig updated to have a full-fledged experience of the game.
