miHoYo has become the premier go-to studio for experiencing AAA-level mobile gaming. The Shanghai-based Chinese video game development studio’s latest title, Honkai: Star Rail, is already a hit among both fans and critics, having generated millions in revenue ever since its release on April 26, 2023. Serving as the fourth installment in the Honkai series, the game boasts a fun cast of characters along with a great narrative and simple yet hard-to-master turn-based combat. Honkai: Star Rail is only available on iOS, Android, and Windows right now, but a PlayStation 5 port has been announced for a release in Q4 2023. No word on an Xbox or Nintendo Switch release, though. Anyway, Honkai Star Rail also received Phase 2 of the version 1.1 release recently, which has some players asking questions about the age of one of the newly released units, Yukong.
Version 1.1, or the Galactic Roaming Update, was officially released on June 7, 2023. It’s the second release version of Star Rail and the first major patch update. It introduced a plethora of new content like companion missions for units, events, light cones, and, of course, new characters. The subject of this article, Yukong, is one of those new units introduced in Phase 2 of the Version 1.1 update. Lore is a big part of the Honkai universe, so it’s understandable that some players would want to know about Yukong’s age to theorize and share their thoughts about the larger narrative. And so, here’s the important info on that.
Honkai Star Rail Yukong Age: How old is she
Phase 2 of Version 1.1 introduced the 5-star unit Luocha, along with banners for Yukong, Pela, and Qingque. Well, when it comes to Yukong, we finally have official confirmation from the dev team on how old she is. According to the Character Story: Part I, Yukong is currently 246 years old. This officially makes her one of the older characters in Honkai: Star Rail, along with Jing Yuan (300+ years old). Both Asta and Herta are also supposed to be on the older side, but we are yet to get any confirmation on that either in the form of in-game dialogue or as part of the Character Story.
Yukong is a four-star character. She is an Imaginary Harmony unit that belongs to the Xianzhou Alliance. As of now, she is one of the three Imaginary units in the game, along with Welt and the newly released Luocha. Being a Harmony character, Yukong specializes in buffing her allies through the use of her Emboldening Salvo skill and Diving Kestrel ultimate. In terms of utility, Bronya still outshines her, but if you need a serviceable Imaginary Harmorny unit, then Yukong is your best choice right now, since Luocha and Welt are Abundance and Nihility units, respectively.
If you want to get Yukong, right now is the best time. There are still more than two weeks left on the Event Warp, so you don’t have to worry about missing her banner.
