The world of Hogwarts Legacy is home to a wide array of magical beasts, ranging from the diminutive Mooncalf to the colossal Hippogriff and Phoenix. A total of 13 species of creatures can be found in the wild. If you want to catch and tame these beasts, you will first have to progress through the main storyline till you reach the “Room of Requirement” quest. After completion, you will be able to gain access to the “Beast Class” quest. Upon attending this class, players will meet their instructor Poppy Sweeting who introduces two magical creatures. She also provides the tools needed for taming Beasts: a Beast Petting Brush and Beast Feed. Now, to take your hunt of Magical Beasts to the next level, you will need a Nab Sack. This can be acquired by progressing through the mission “The Elf, The Nab Sack, and the Loom”, which comes after the Room of Requirement quest. As a reward for completing this mission, you will also unlock the Vivarium- a place where you can house any beasts you catch in the wild.
To find these beasts, open up your map and look for Paw Mark icons – these indicate places or dens where you can find Magical Beasts. Once you have located one of these dens, use your Nab Sack(equip it to your Spell Diamond) to capture them and bring them to your Vivarium.
