The open world of GTA 5 & GTA Online lets players freely explore San Andreas’ open countryside and also, the fictional city of Los Santos. The game is available on various platforms such as PS4, PS5, Xbox 360, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and also on Windows. The online mode not working properly can be a frustrating issue for players. Therefore, uninstalling or disabling your antivirus software can resolve such issues. Additionally, you can also add GTA Online to the exception list in your antivirus software.
  • Next up, always checking your internet connection before launching GTA Online is important. Thus, the game not working can be a result of a poor internet connection. Therefore, it is important to make sure that you have a stable and fast internet connection before playing GTA Online.
  • The game may not be working as a result of server outages. Therefore, you can always go and check the game’s server status by going to this site here (and) ensuring that the game’s servers are up and running before launching the game.
  • The reason GTA Online is not working can be due to the expiration of your online subscription service. Therefore, make sure your subscriptions for the services are active before launching the game. For PC users: No subscription is required and the game can be played for free after purchasing the GTA 5 game.
