The Steam Early Access program has served as a platform for a ton of amazing and great games since its introduction back in 2013. Madfinger Games’ Gray Zone Warfare is one of the latest titles to come out of this program. Released on April 30, 2024, Gray Zone Warfare is a tactical fps mil-sim packed with highly customizable weapons, an MMO open world to explore, a thrilling story, and more. Being such a fresh release, there’s a lot about it that players want to know and this article here will be focusing on some of these things. To be more specific, we will be focusing on Gray Zone Warfare’s mod, HDR, Ultrawide (21:9), Super Ultrawide (32:9), AMD FSR 3 & DLSS Support details.
From modding to upscaling, these are some of the most important things that a player looks for in a game. But at the end of the day, it’s up to the developers to decide whether they want to add a feature to the game or not. So, what’s the case with Gray Zone Warfare? Does the game have official support for modding, HDR, ultrawide, super ultrawide, and upscalers like AMD FSR 3 and DLSS? Well, let’s go ahead and find out.
Gray Zone Warfare Mod, HDR, Ultrawide (21:9), Super Ultrawide (32:9), AMD FSR 3 & DLSS Support Details
Let’s start with mod support. At the time of publishing this, Gray Zone Warfare doesn’t have official mod support. And to be honest, it’s pretty unlikely that the game will get mod support any time soon. While there is certainly a demand for it from the community, there are other things that happen to be high on the priority list compared to mod support. That is something more suited for after Gray Zone Warfare’s version 1.0 release. And just like mod support, there’s also no native HDR support in the game right now. However, seems like Window’s Auto HDR feature works just fine with it, so until Madfinger introduces native HDR, players can use it.
As for ultrawide (21:9) and Super Ultrawide (32:9), fortunately, the game supports both. Players have been able to enjoy Gray Zone Warfare in both of these aspect ratios so you wouldn’t have to worry about anything when it comes to ultrawide and super ultrawide support. And at last, we come to the topic of AMD FSR 3 and DLSS. Players should be happy to know that Gray Zone Warfare supports both FSR and DLSS upscalers. Not only that, but it also has XeSS for Intel GPU users too. And when it comes to upscaler versions, Gray Zone Warfare currently has FSR 3 and DLSS 3 versions. All in all, there are pretty great options when it comes to upscaling.
