Gray Zone Warfare leave no man behind guide

Gray Zone Warfare, the tactical fps mil-sim from developer Madfinger Games, finally got released as an early access title on April 30, 2024. Player numbers seem to be quite good, despite the fact that it’s currently plagued with a ton of technical and gameplay issues. In fact, at the time of publishing this, the 24-hour peak player count sits at about 66,636 players. Certainly not a bad number for a former mobile studio debuting their first PC game. Since Gray Zone Warfare happens to be such a fresh release, there’s a lot about it that players are curious about. And something that a lot of players want to know is how to complete the Leave No Man Behind quest.

This particular quest has two objectives- Locate the body and Mark the location of the body. Essentially, you are tasked by Gunny to find a dead soldier’s body so that it can be retrieved. Simple right? Yes, but the thing that makes it hard for so many players is that they aren’t simply able to locate where the body is. Don’t worry, though. By the end of this guide, you will get this quest finished and obtain the rewards associated with it.

As we stated before, the main objective of this quest is to find the person killed near the city’s town hall and mark the body by placing a GPS tracker on it. Now, since the game won’t give you the exact location of the body, you will have to look for clues and track it down yourself.

Finding and marking the dead body

One important thing you need to know is that the location of the town hall will vary depending on the faction.  Now before leaving your Base Camp, make sure that you have at least one tracker in your inventory. Gunny will give you one when you accept the “Leavo No Man Behind” quest. However, by chance, if you die in an attempt to complete this quest, the tracker given by Gunny will disappear. Don’t worry, though! You can purchase one from Gunny for about $50.

Once you have your tracker, head to the area where the town hall is and start clearing this area. There’s going to be a lot of enemies around here, so be ready for a tough fight. During your killing spree, don’t forget to keep an eye out for a trail of blood stains and bullet holes on walls. This is where you will find the body. Keep searching for houses near the town hall. When you find a mound of dirt and a brown bedframe thrown on the ground, that will mean you are on the correct path to the alley where the body is. When you have found the body, all you need to do is put the tracker on its body.

Now that you’ve finished the quest, return to your Base Camp and interact with Gunny to mark it as complete. You will now obtain the following as a reward for completing this quest:

  • AMP12
  • $5100
  • 400XP
  • 100 Reputation (Gunny)

And that’s all you need to complete the Leave No Man Behind quest in Gray Zone Warfare. You can also take a quick look here if you want to know all the currently available servers in the game.
