Cygames’ latest Granblue Fantasy: Relink is now another addition to the list of great games released in 2024. Available for PC, PlayStation, and Xbox, the Steam version of the game alone has seen a 24-hour peak of about 104,140 players as of writing this (data sourced from SteamDB). Quite an amazing number, to be honest. Now, while the fans are certainly enjoying the game right now, many have started to ask questions about DLC or post-game content.
DLCs are a great way to keep a game fun and refreshing for players. However, it’s really up to the developers to decide whether they want to add new content to an already-finished game. Now, Cygames has already confirmed post-game content for Granblue Fantasy: Relink and has gone so far as to release a roadmap for it. So without much further ado, let’s go ahead and find out all about this.
Granblue Fantasy Relink DLC Roadmap details
As of now, Cygames has shared a 3-month roadmap for the game, which consists of new characters, missions, and such. The roadmap was shared via the Granblue Showcase: Part 2—Relink on January 11, 2024, which detailed a lot of the post-launch content for the game.
March
The very first content update for Granblue Fantasy: Relink will come in the form of an optional quest that can be completed either solo or in co-op. This optional quest is said to be one of the toughest in the entire game, as it’s a boss fight against Lucilius. Yes, the same Lucilius who created Lucifer—the original Primal Beast. He’s going to be a level 200 boss so you better start grinding and preparing for this boss fight, as Lucilius will make his debut in the game with a free content update this early March 2024 with Version 1.1.0.
April
In April, with Version 1.2.0, players will get two new playable characters: Seofon and Tweyen. Both of these characters will be made available for free with a single update. Although, you will need to satisfy some in-game requirements to unlock them. Or you can go the other route and use real greens to add them to your party.
Both Seofon and Tweyen are part of The Eternals, an elite group of skyfarers consisting of ten members, each of whom is a master of their weapon. Besides Seofon and Tweyen, there’s also Anre, Threo, Feower, Funf, Seox, Eahta, Niyon, and Tien. Seofon is a master of swords, while Tweyen is of bows, something that is pretty evident by their GBF: Relink arts.
May
The last month of the roadmap remains a mystery, as Cygames has yet to release any information on that. Honestly, it could be anything, ranging from another set of new characters to new quests. For now, all you can do is wait and see what Cygames announces later on for the month of May.
Well, that’s all the information we have on this right now. Additionally, you can also take a quick look here if you want to know the best mods for Granblue Fantasy: Relink.
