If you are one of those people who is facing this issue, consider following the mentioned methods to fix the problem.

Rebuild Database

To do this, simply shut down your console and unplug it from the power source. After this, plug it back in, press and hold the power button and wait for two beeping sounds. This means that now your console will start in safe mode. Once that is done, Reconnect your controller with the USB cable, press the PS button and select “Rebuild Database” and follow the instructions on the screen. Then, simply restart your console and relaunch the game.

Reinstall your game

If the above solution does not work, make sure to uninstall your game from your system by going to Settings>Console Storage>Apps and Games>God of War Ragnarok>Uninstall. This will uninstall all the data and game-related files from your console. After this, you can reinstall the game from either the Playstation Store (if you have the digital version) by signing in > My Playstation> Game library > Purchased > Select God of War Ragnarok > Download. Otherwise, you can simply reinsert the disc and then install it. After installation is completed, launch the game and the error should be fixed.

Check for system updates

Head to the Updates section of your PS5 console and check for system updates. If there is a system update available, you should install it. Many games suffer from errors due to your system not being updated.

Update the game

It may be that your game is not up to date with the latest version. The developers keep releasing updates for new games which include bug fixes. To make sure your game is updated, go to the gear icon at the top of your screen, and from the Notifications tab, check for any God of War Ragnarok updates. If available, update the game.

Hard Reset your Console

To do this, you will need to go to Home screen > Settings > System > System Software > Reset. Now, select the “Reset your console” option, and this will completely erase all data and revert the console to factory settings.

Clear storage

Make sure you have enough space to run God of War Ragnarok. It requires at least 95-100GB of free space on your console. Check your storage from the settings to confirm you have enough space.

Additional Support

This should be your final step if all other ones fail. Make sure to contact the official Sony team for support from their official website or by going to one of their walk-in stores. Describe your issue and they will surely provide the best possible fix.
