Epic Game and thus Fortnite’s ongoing lawsuit with Apple has caused several confidential slideshows and internal presentations to be leaked, one of which we covered in this prior article. In the slideshow from this article, which you can find here, Naruto, Lebron, Katniss, and John McClane all made an appearance in the future plans of Epic Games but did not feature Ash or anyone from the Pokemon universe. In this article, we will be taking a look at the possibility of a Pokemon and Fortnite Crossover event happening in 2021.
Thanks to Fortnite content creator Lachlan, fans are buzzing about a possible Pokemon and Fortnite crossover once again. Lachlan played through a custom map made by NarXo, where the player spawns in Ash’s bedroom with several Pokemon items around them and can play through a few quests like filling up their Pokedex to experience some serious nostalgia. Lachlan even tweeted “Living for the day I see a Pokemon x Fortnite collab on my timeline…”, and I’m sure hundreds of thousands of fans share his sentiment.

NarXo really put the custom map feature in Fortnite to great use, as is clear from the detailing of the Pokemon-themed map.
Epic Games has become excessively quiet regarding any new projects and plans they may have for Fortnite, and this is understandably so, as most of their data is being leaked online on a regular basis. However, it would not be surprising if Epic does indeed decide to do a Pokemon crossover event and are able to hash out all the paperwork with The Pokemon Company, as it is clear from the slideshow linked above that being featured on Fortnite is a massive boost to any celebrity or game’s reach and base.
Let’s hope we get to see this much-awaited crossover this year, or in early 2022 at the least!
