Forspoken Not Launching, Crashing, Stuttering & Freezing Issue On PC: How to fix it
Before trying any of the given methods, it is important that you verify the game’s minimum system requirements. If your PC fails to meet the requirements, then it is obvious that you need to upgrade it, as trying these methods won’t do any good. That being said, let’s jump right into the details.
Restart your PC
Restarting the PC has helped many games in solving crashes and launch issues in many games and it should work for Forspoken as well. Once you restarted your PC, run the game and see if you’re able to play.
Close all overclocking apps
If you have several overclocking apps running in the background like MSI Afterburner, RivaTuner, etc chances are that they are the primary cause for crashes in Forspoken. So, close all such applications and try launching the game.
Set the Sound Sample rate to 48/44k Hz in Sound Control Panel

- Click on “Apply” and “Ok” and launch the game via its .exe file.

Allow the game’s .exe file in Antivirus software/Windows Firewall/Security

- Click on “Virus & Threat Protection”, scroll down and click on “Ransomware Protection”
- Then click on “Allow an app through controlled folder access”.
- Click on “Yes” to allow and click on “Add an allowed app” and “Browse all apps”.
- Head to the game’s installation directory and select the .exe file and click on “Open”.
- launch Forspoken and see if it’s running or not.
- To add the game to Windows Firewall, go to “Control Panel” and select “System and Security”.
- Click on “Windows Defender Firewall” and on the left side, click on “Allow an app or feature through windows defender firewall”.
- After that, click on “Change Settings” and “Allow another app”. Click on “Browse” and again head to the game’s installation directory.
- Once you found it, click on the game’s .exe file and click on “Add”. After this, launch the game.
Perform a clean installation of GPU drivers
Performing a clean installation of your GPU drivers can fix crashing issues in Forspoken and is worth a try if you haven’t updated your GPU drivers for a while. Follow the steps below on how to perform a clean installation of GPU Drivers.
- Head to NVIDIA or AMD Website and snag the latest drivers for your GPU.
