Having subtitles enabled in Forspoken can be very helpful if the player isn’t a native speaker of English or any other language, depending on the game’s region. Square Enix’s latest title has players exploring the magical land of Athia and so far, it is somewhat satisfying. In the game, you’ll come across certain characters who speak different dialects where subtitles are necessary. However, if you feel like subtitles obstruct your experience and you’re okay with having them disabled, luckily you can do so in the game. Forspoken How to Turn Off or Disable Subtitles

Subtitles are enabled by default in the game for players to understand what the characters speak. There are cases where it is turned off by default in certain games. Forspoken on the other hand is quite complicated and the subtitles option is hidden quite well. What’s more, the game offers a couple of new subtitle settings that you can change according to your preference. You can customize the subtitle background, size, speaker name display, and units of measurement. You can experiment with them and see if they suit you or not. We’ve laid out the instructions below that will help you locate the option to disable subs and enjoy the game as it’s meant to be.

How to disable or turn off Subtitles in Forspoken.

The options to turn off subtitles are present in both the PS5 and PC version of the game and requires the same steps. Without further ado, let’s dive into the steps on how to disable subtitles.

  • Press the options button on PS5 and Esc button on PC to bring up the “Settings” menu.
  • Select “Accessibility” settings and navigate below the options until you come across the “Subtitles Settings” section.
  • Select the “Subtitles” option and toggle it from “On” to “Off”.

Once you’ve done that, exit the menu, and the subtitles will no longer show up in the game. Now you can enjoy the game without being distracted. Subtitles can be turned “On” or “Off” anytime without closing the game. If English isn’t your native language, you can choose other available languages in the game under the Language settings. That way you will be able to understand what the characters are saying and get an immersive experience.
