Yoodo is a digital mobile service that was launched around 3 years ago. It is an independent service that has been owned and operated by Celcom Axiata Berhad and the team has mainly target audience that they have been trying to hit and specifically the digitally-savvy millennials that have been accustomed to customization and the breakneck speed in which the technology can move forward.
If people choose Yoodo, they can mix and match between the thing which has been calculated by the company and estimated to be around 1,000 possible combinations. It also includes choosing the amount of data and the number of voice calls, messaging and content you would like to have with yourself on a monthly basis. You can also choose to do without something known as SMS.
When you choose the plan and you create an account and add your payment details, you can choose to get your SIM delivered to you within 2 hours for a fee or you can also choose to get a free delivery and this will get you the SIM delivered in around 1 to 3 business days. The creator and the head of this service, Farid Yunus, said that they also have a mission of never getting a customer call in for complaints and for that, they have customer relations teams and community managers to look into everything and make sure that the users are happy.
But just like other services, Yoodo has been facing a lot of errors in its system. One of them is Error 38. This has been a major headache for most of the users. The main issue that occurs because of this error is that users cannot send text messages. A few people using Xiaomi devices said that when they tried to send a text message, the message was not sent and the Error 38 popped up on their screen. Another issue that is being experienced by users is that some numbers have been blacklisted by Yoodo without any authorization and people are now unable to send messages to those numbers and if they try to do it, the Error 38 appears. Till now there is no official statement from Yoodo on how to solve this issue. Still, if you wish to fix this yourself, you can follow these steps –
- Check the network coverage status of your area.
- Switch off your phone and switch it on again and try to send messages.
- Try the SIM in another phone if you have. If it works, then the issue might be with your device and if it doesn’t, you need a SIM replacement.
- Go to ‘Settings’ of your phone and try to adjust the ‘Network Settings’.
