HOW TO DOWNLOAD AND INSTALL MODS IN THE GAME FARMING SIMULATOR 22?
The process of downloading and installing these mods in Farming Simulator 22 is different in consoles and PC or Mac. So here are the detailed steps for both of them –
INSTALL ON CONSOLES
There is a Modhub in the game. Just go there and follow these steps to install mods in consoles –
- Click on the Downloadable content on the main game screen.
- This will take you to the Modhub which will include:
- Small Tractors
- Medium Tractors
- Large Tractors
- Wheel Loaders
- Slurry Tanks
- Miscellaneous
- Trailers
- Seeders
- Package
- Gameplay
- Harvesters
- Since there are a lot of categories available, you can take your time and download all those mods which you find suitable for your game. You can also use the filters option present on the left side of the screen to sort the available mods as per the most downloaded ones, the latest ones, the recommended ones, and the best ones.
- Select the mod you would like to use and check out its details by clicking on it.
- Then at the bottom of the screen, you will get the option to press a button to install the mod. Once you press the button to install the mod, it will download the mod for you.
- After the download is over, you will find the mod under the download section of your game.
- Now, to install the mod you have to restart the game.
- Click Yes on the prompt which asks you to confirm the process.
This is how you can download and install the game mods in Farming Simulator 22 on your console. You have to reload the game every time you download a new mod. But the process does not end here. Here are the further steps –
- After re-launching the game, you will get the choice to select a mod(s) to use. This will enable the specific mods in that save game.
- Then, click on Start. The new equipment should be available to use from this point onwards.
- To remove these mods, you have to do the same process but instead of selecting the mods, simply deselect them, save your game and relaunch it. Now in the fresh boot up, you should not see the unchecked mods anymore.
INSTALL ON PC/MAC –
- Choose a mod of your choice and download it as a ZIP file.
- Navigate to the folder “mods” of Farming Simulator 22. To do this, open “Documents”, then “My Games”, then “FarmingSimulator2022”, and then “mods”.
- Path on the PC: C: / Users / [PC name] / Documents / My Games / FarmingSimulator2022 / mods.
- Path on the Mac: ~ / Library / Containers/com.astragon.farmingsim201X / Data / Library / Application Support / FarmingSimulator201X / mods
- Drag the downloaded ZIP file into the “mods” folder.
- Next, start Farming Simulator 22.
- Navigate to “Downloadable Content” in the start menu and select the second tab “Installed”. You should already see your downloaded mod in the menu.
- Load your current score or start a new game. As soon as the game is loaded, go to the shop and select the second to last option “Mods and DLCs” in the left side menu.
