For a game to be addictive, it does not necessarily need to have over-the-top graphics, a gripping story, multiplayer elements, etc. Sometimes, all it takes is simple, polished mechanics to make it a hit. As promised in previous updates, Farming Simulator 25 has finally seen the light of day and many fans of the series are joining in. All that aside, if you are wondering how to buy and sell land in Farming Simulator 25, here we are with all the details.
In Farming Simulator 25, you will buy and sell land to expand and manage your farm’s operations effectively. When you start, you will have a small plot, but acquiring more land is all the more important for diversifying crops, raising additional livestock, and maximizing profitability. On the other hand, selling land you no longer need can also free up funds for new equipment, upgrades, or land in more profitable regions. So, let’s see how to buy and sell land in the game.

Farming Simulator 25: How to Buy & Sell Land
How to Buy Land?
- Open the Menu: Enter the menu and in the Hotspots tab, you’ll see various options for Farm Management. Look for the map that shows different plots of land.
- Select the Farmland Menu: While you can use any filter to buy and sell lands in the hotspots menu, the easiest way to view available land is through the Farmland menu. Here, you can see which plots you own (highlighted in bright green) and which plots are available for purchase (shaded in grey).
- Choose a Plot to Buy: Scroll over different plots. When you select a plot, it will show you its size in acres or hectares (depending on your settings) and the price.
- Buy the Land: Click on the plot you wish to buy. You will see a pop-up with the details of the land you just highlighted, like the size and price. Here you will have the option to either visit or buy the land. If you have enough money, confirm the purchase. Your funds will be deducted, and the land will become part of your farm.
How to Sell Land?
- Select the Owned Plot: In the Farmland menu, select a plot that you already own. This will bring up the option to sell it.
- Remove Placeable Objects: If there are any buildings, decorations, or other placeable objects on the land, you must remove them first. The game won’t allow you to sell land with placeable objects still on it.
- Sell the Plot: Once the land is clear, select it and choose the Sell option. You’ll get back the amount you originally paid for the land, as the land does not depreciate in value.
Key points
Some land, like town areas or specific plots, may not be available for purchase. If you try to select these, they will not be highlighted. Also, land prices remain constant, so you can sell plots for the same price you bought them, regardless of how much time has passed. In New Farmer Mode, you’ll start with land that includes buildings and other assets. To sell this land, clear out all structures first.
