In Fallout 76, a variety of fish has been introduced with the recent Gone Fission update. These fish are classified into 4 categories, and the hardest ones to catch are the Local Legends. They are extremely rare and difficult to find, and even if you do find them, you will have a hard time catching them if you don’t have the right gear. That said, in this guide, we have shared everything related to how you can get, find, and catch the local legends in Fallout 76.

Fallout 76 All Local Legends Fish: How to get, find, & catch
Before you start your expedition to catch the local legends in Fallout 76, there are a few things you have to keep in mind. Patience is the key. And get improved bait and a good fishing rod. Since your chances of catching these local legends are quite low, you will need to have patience. You can expect to catch one on your first try or even your tenth. That said, fishing gear is the next important thing you need to take care of. We recommend having at least a Mark 3 fishing rod. Anything below this, and you will have a very hard time playing the mini-game when the fish has bitten your bait. Coming to bait, you only have a 1% chance to catch this fish if you use common bait. It increases to 3-4% when using improved bait (depending on weather), while using Superb bait increases it drastically to 10-15%. The best weather to fish for local legends are Clear and Rainy. Now that you know all this, let’s get to the details of where to find these ultra-rare fish.
Ryl-Tkannoth Maw Begotten
As suggested by its name, the Maw Begotten typically spawns at the Mire region of Appalachia in the Big Maw location. It’s the giant hole that houses a small pond at the bottom. Once you descend, a few floaters will start attacking. Eliminate them and then point your cursor towards the pond and start fishing. Make sure to use Improved or Superb bait.
Organ Grinder
The Organ Grinder Local Legend can be found in the forest region of Appalachia, in the Organ Cave. You can pick any of the three available entrances to get inside the cave. What you need to find is the waterfall inside the cave. Make sure to eliminate any cultist you find inside the cave. Once you find the waterfall, start fishing there. This is the location where the Organ Grinder spawns. If you’re lucky, you should be able to get one within a reasonable time.
Wavy Willard
When it comes to the Wavy Willard, things aren’t that complicated. All you need to do is head over to the Wavy Willard’s Water Park, located in the Toxic Valley region of the game. Inside the water park, explore the area and find the two pools. You should be able to catch the Wavy Willard in any of the two pools inside the water park. You can start with the one that has a zebra inside it.
