Fallout 4 mysterious signal not working

The Fallout series is one of the best creations of Bethesda Studios, and the last mainline installment in the series, Fallout 4, came out in 2015. Even after 9 long years, Bethesda isn’t leaving any stone unturned to keep the game interesting, with new quests and content popping up in every major update. As part of this trend, the developers added the All Hallow’s Eve quest to the game on April 25, 2024. This new quest came out with the Next-Gen update as a Creation Club content. However, players are facing certain issues completing this quest, as the mysterious signal seems to be broken. Fans need to listen to this signal to move ahead in the quest. However, they find the signal to be completely silent. If you’re facing this issue with the mysterious signal in Fallout 4 not working as well, don’t panic. Keep reading this guide to find out how to fix this.

The All Hallow’s Eve quest is part of the Halloween Workshop in Fallout 4. In theory, the quest is pretty straightforward. First, you listen to the mysterious signal to locate the Harbormaster Hotel. Then, you need to visit the New England Technocrat Society in the hotel. Fight a number of ghouls and find the nearby hallway where the control panel is. Type in the code, which is 4346. Enter this final room and take all the loot, including the Picket Fences Halloween Special Magazine. Easy, right? Well, not if you face the mysterious signal in Fallout 4 not working issue. In case that happens, how do you fix the problem then? Let’s find out!

Fallout 4 Mysterious Signal Not Working: How to Fix?

The Harbormaster Hotel in Fallout 4

If you’re facing this absurd issue in Fallout 4, let us tell you that there are no official fixes for it. However, that doesn’t mean that you can’t complete the quest. You need to listen to the mysterious signal to proceed in the All Hallow’s Eve quest. And without it, completing the quest seems to be highly unlikely. Or so the players thought. We’ve shared how to complete the quest, even when the mysterious signal doesn’t work.

Head Straight to the Harbormaster Hotel

As we just told you, the purpose of the mysterious signal is to guide you to the Harbormaster Hotel. But since you already know what the quest requires you to do, why wait for the signal? If the mysterious signal remains silent, head straight towards the hotel. This hotel can be located in the Boston Harbor area, just below the Shamrock Taphouse and northeast of Mass Bay Medical Center. Once you arrive, go through the door, defeat the raiders, and open every door. One of the doors will be the quest trigger, where you will find the magazine. Doing so should lead you to the next part of the quest. But it is possible that after the quest trigger gets active, the game will tell you that the previous objective has failed. To fix this, you will need to use a console command.

Use Console Command

You might reach and enter the Harbormaster Hotel, but it’ll show that you failed the “Listen to the Mysterious Radio Signal” objective. In that case, you can use a particular console command to complete this objective. Press the tilde key (~) to open the console command box, and type “setstage ccFSVF04 007_Quest 20” without the quotes. This will make the game skip the aforementioned objective and you can continue with your quest.

Well, that’s all that you can do to bypass the mysterious signal in Fallout 4 not working issue. Hopefully, this guide was able to help you complete the quest. If you enjoyed reading this guide, stay tuned to DigiStatement for more such gaming content and guides.
