F1 2021 Controller Settings Guide
When we talk about playing F1 2021 with the controller, it facilitates easy driving with a more enhanced experience than playing on a keyboard. So here we are guiding you about the controller settings that might help you to set the best settings for you to win all the races.
Firstly, it is recommended that you must change the Overtake ERS Mode to Hold(Path: Settings> Controls, Vibration and Force Feedback> Generic Settings)
Now, go back to the Main menu of Controls, Vibration, and Force Feedback and select the controller on which you are playing, and select edit. Here, the default settings for everyone are the same. But if you want to change the layout of the controls you can come here and set the settings according to you. One thing that you must definitely try is Differential Increase/ Decrease, and Break Bias Increase/Decrease. By this, you can adjust these settings while driving in a game.
After selecting the favourable layout, head to the Calibration Settings. Here, we will be changing the first 3 settings to enhance your handling experience.
- Firstly, we will check the Steering Deadzone. For this, you have to open the testing option and test the steering by flicking the Left Stick or whatever your controls are and see if the steering is returning back to zero. If it does, then the settings are right, but if not, slightly keep increasing the steering deadzone settings until it returns back to zero.
- Now, we will be testing the full range of motion. For this, open the testing option and steer from controller to full right and full left. If the steering is showing 100 in both, extreme right and left, the settings are right. But if not, make sure to slightly increase the steering saturation deadzone settings until it goes to 100.
- Also, set the Steering Linearity to 50.
- Just like we applied these three settings to Steering Settings, apply all the same settings to Throttle and Brake Settings
Now, go back and select Vibration and Force Feedback to tweak some settings. Here, set the vibration according to the performance of your controller. Usually, the controllers of ninth-generation gaming consoles feature the optimum vibration experience. If you are using one, make sure to maximize the vibration settings.
So, these were the settings for the optimum F1 2021 experience while using a controller.
Enjoy Gaming!!
