Exoprimal: How to register & link Capcom ID

Capcom is back with a new game. This time it’s a team-based action PvPvE shooter called Exoprimal. Developed using the RE Engine, in the game, players will get to fight and defend against dinosaurs and other historic creatures. Exoprimal was announced back in March 2022 during Sony PlayStation’s State of Play Livestream. Following that, a network test was arranged for players in July and August of 2022. Capcom also released an open beta test a few months ago, in March 2023. And after all that, the game will finally be released on July 14, 2023. Veteran players might see its resemblance to the Dino Crisis series, but Exoprimal is in no way related to it. Currently, Exorpimal is slated to release on PlayStation 4 and 5, Windows, and Xbox Series X/S and Xbox One. Now, as with any other Capcom game, Exoprimal also demands that players register and link their platform accounts to their Capcom IDs.

Many major game developers and publishers have their own account services nowadays. From Activision-Blizzard to Square Enix, the list just keeps expanding. And Capcom is on that list too. Studios have a myriad of reasons for doing this. And at this point, it has become the norm in the gaming industry to make a Capcom ID for Capcom games, a Square Enix ID for Square Enix games, a Bethesda ID for Bethesda games, and so on. Simply put, you can’t avoid this if you are planning to play any kind of game from any of the major developers in the gaming world. So, how do you register and link your Capcom ID to your platform account to play Exoprimal without any issues? Continue reading to find out.

Exoprimal: How to register & link Capcom ID

If you didn’t already know, you will need to register and link your Capcom ID to your Steam/PS/Xbox account to play Exoprimal. It’s basically mandatory. Capcom has specifically stated that once you start Exoprimal, it will check if your platform and Capcom ID are linked. If it is, then you don’t have to worry about anything. If it is not, then the game will show an error.

In case you don’t have a Capcom ID, go to the official Capcom website and create a new account. You can also scan the QR code that will be presented on the screen in-game. Once you have successfully signed up, go to the Account page and look for the “Platform account links” section there. Next, start scrolling down and find your platform. If you are playing the game on either PlayStation 4 or 5, select PlayStation Network. Xbox players need to choose Xbox Network, Steam for Steam users, and so on. Now, log in to your platform ID or account and then select “Link with [your Platform here] network”. Next, you will see the word “Linked” in green. Congratulations! You have now successfully registered and linked your Capcom ID to your platform account. Enjoy your time sucker-punching dinosaurs!
