Evil Dead : The Game is a horror game based on the Evil Dead movie trilogy as well as the sequel TV Show, Ash vs The Evil Dead. Recently, the chief editor of the horror movie and game magazine Bloody Disgusting, John Squires, tweeted out a list of characters who would be in the game. Let’s take a look, and see if there are any further additions to this list. Right, let’s get into it.
Sam Raimi’s Evil Dead franchise is a cult classic among most horror movie fans, and while the sequel TV Show did not receive as much of the widespread plaudits that the original trilogy did, it was still credited as a high-quality comedy-horror TV show. All of the events and characters from the movie trilogy and the sequel TV Show will be carried over in the game universe. Saber Interactive has developed the game, and it is understood to be undergoing post-production now, well on track for a late 2021 release globally. Obviously, co-op gameplay will be a feature of the game, but it has also been confirmed that PvP modes have also been added on. It’s safe to say that PvP multiplayer games in the Evil Dead franchise are going to be absolutely stupendous. Right, now let’s take a look at the list of characters that was dropped by John Squires:
Scotty (The Evil Dead)
Lord Arthur (Army of Darkness-Evil Dead 3)
Kelly Maxwell (Ash vs. Evil Dead)
Pablo Simon Bolivar (Ash vs. Evil Dead)
I think we all saw Ash and Cheryl Williams being part of the character list. An Evil Dead game would not be an Evil Dead game without the two of them. Scotty, the one who planned the very first trip to the infamous cabin in the first-ever Evil Dead movie is also featured. Its nice to see the sequel TV Show getting a couple of characters in as well, but no such luck for the 2013 remake, unfortunately.
