Fans of the tower defense genre will love Amplitude Studios’ latest title, Endless Dungeon. Set in Amplitude’s own Endless universe, this game is available for all major platforms except for the Nintendo Switch. As the game happens to be a fresh release, it has a myriad of issues currently plaguing it. Players have been complaining about one particular issue that seems to be affecting cloud saves in the game.
This issue is mainly linked to the game’s PC and Steam Deck versions. Due to this, players are unable to access their progress on either platform. Players reported that after saving progress on PC, their saves don’t appear on the Steam Deck version of the game. So, is there a fix for this issue?
Endless Dungeon Cloud Save Not Working Issue: Is there any fix yet
Amplitude is indeed aware of this issue, so an official fix will be coming soon enough. Till then, players can try the following workarounds:
Turn on Remote Storage –
Endless Dungeon has its own cloud-saving option, which is turned off by default. This might be the reason why you are having issues with cloud saves. Now, to get rid of this issue, just open the Settings menu of the game, and switch to the Network tab. Now, find the Remote Storage option in there and turn it on. Make sure that the option is enabled on the Steam Deck too, if you happen to be using it, and have the game installed there. After this, exit the game on PC, and Steam Deck, and launch it again. Now, the progress should be transferred.
Verify files –
For some, restarting the game and then verifying files was what helped them fix this issue. So, we suggest you try this. For players on:
Steam –
- Open Steam and head to Library.
- Find Endless Dungeon and right-click on the game to select Properties > Installed Files > Verify integrity of game files.
- Launch the game after the verification is over.
Epic –
- Open Epic Games Launcher and click on Library, located in the left-hand panel.
- Next, click on the three dots next to the game’s tile and select Manage > Verify.
- You can start the game after the process is complete.
Update game –
Make sure that the game is updated to its latest version to avoid running into such issues. An updated game is much less likely to run into the same issues as the previous version, so try it out.
Turn off Firewall –
A common cause behind issues such as this is a firewall simply blocking internet access. And so, in order to get around this issue or prevent it from happening, follow the given steps:
- Open Windows Settings > Privacy & Security > Windows Security > Firewall & Network Protection.
- Now, scroll down and click on Allow an app through firewall.
- In the new window, first, click on the Change settings button and give admin access when prompted.
- Next, find Endless Dungeon in the list below. If it isn’t there, click on the “Allow another app…” option and add the game.
- Now, checkmark both Private and Public options beside Endless Dungeon. Click OK to finish the process.
Reinstall –
If the issue still persists, you can try reinstalling the game. Just save your progress before this, and then uninstall or delete Endless Dungeon from your PC or console. Once the game is installed again, launch it, enable Remote Storage, and then check whether the issue persists.
