Huawei announced EMUI 11 on September 10 and is based on Android 10. The EMUI 11 comes with a number of visual updates and new features. Even more, the EMUI 11 is a mix of Android and HarmonyOS, where some features are ported from Huawei’s own OS.
Actually, Wang Chenglu, president of Huawei’s consumer business software department implied that the EMUI 11 may be the last EMUI version. And soon, Huawei may bring HarmonyOS(Hongmeng OS). Some phones that are testing EMUI 11 now, are expected to test HarmonyOS next year. However, Huawei hasn’t yet released a roadmap for the HarmonyOS update yet.
