Dune Awakening Skill Slot: How to Unlock Them
You can unlock the third skill slot after completing the Fourth Trial of Aql quest. To access this quest, you first need to finish the first three trials. There are 3 caves in the Western and Eastern Vermillius Slopes. One cave is in Eastern Vermillius, close to the southern side. Another is in Western Vermillius. The final cave is beneath The Hollow Hammer itself. All three caves must be visited and their respective objectives completed before the fourth trial becomes accessible.
Once those are done, the Fourth Trial becomes available and will direct you toward The Hollow Hammer. This is a cliff with its peak shaped like a hammer, a unique location found in the East Vermillius Gap region.
How to Reach and Complete the Fourth Trial
Reach the Hollow Hammer
Start by making your way to the East Vermillius Gap. From the southern side of the cliff, begin your climb. As you scale the mountain, you’ll eventually come across a set of ancient ruins.
Follow the Path to the Altar
Stick to the trail that leads through the ruins. Eventually, you’ll discover an altar with Spice glowing at the center. Interact with it to trigger the Fourth Trial. A horde of enemies will come towards you, and you will need to defeat them.
Fight, Fight, Fight
Well, no matter how hard you try, the wave of enemies will eventually be too much for you to handle. But then, suddenly a cutscene will commence, and it will unlock Prescience. This is your third ability. Use this power to defeat the enemy fleet. That’s how you unlock the third ability slot in Dune: Awakening.
