Dragon's Dogma 2 Release Date for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, & PC

Capcom has been absolutely knocking it out of the park lately. The Osaka-headquartered video game development company is releasing and developing some of the most amazing AAA games right now. Dragon’s Dogma 2’s reveal trailer went live in Sony’s PlayStation Showcase 2023, and fans can’t wait to see what Capcom is doing with the game. Although Dragon’s Dogma 2 was announced back in June 2022, there were no further details communicated by Capcom until recently. As great as the trailer was, it revealed that the game will be released for the PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC platforms, but no release date was mentioned.

The state of AAA gaming right now is not that good. Titles like Star Wars Jedi Survivor and Redfall have left a bad taste in the mouths of gaming fans. But it’s not all bad. The release of titles like Resident Evil 4 Remake, Hi-Fi Rush, and most recently The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom has proven that AAA games can still be fun. And we certainly hope Dragon’s Dogma 2 is able to fortify that statement. So, when is it releasing for the Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, and PC? Let’s find out!

Dragon’s Dogma 2 Release Date for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, & PC

At the time of writing this article, there’s no set release date for Dragon’s Dogma 2. The official website of the game has its release timing shown as TBA (to be announced). Suffice it to say, we will have to wait sometime to get any major updates on the game. Even the rumor mills are dry when it comes to the game’s details. It’s pretty clear that Capcom has been very tight-lipped about their upcoming title. Well, if we are to speculate, we think that Dragon’s Dogma 2 will most probably be released in Q2 of 2024, based on the fact that the reveal trailer for the prequel was released back in April 2011, and the game went live in May 2012. This is, however, speculation, so take this information with a pinch of salt.

While the PlayStation Showcase was a pretty “big thing”, there are even bigger events to look out for in 2023. For starters, Summer Games Fest 2023, which is looking to be an E3 replacement with every passing year, is just around the corner as the event goes live from June 8 onwards. And then there’s the Tokyo Game Show in the second half of 2023. Capcom can announce major details about Dragon’s Dogma 2 at any of the events if they want to do so. Plus, it’s already been confirmed that the company will be in attendance for Summer Games Fest 2023.

There’s, however, no telling if Capcom would even announce anything related to Dragon’s Dogma 2 in SGF 2023. However, SGF is a marketing boost for a lot of companies, and it’s not something they can entirely ignore. If not SGF, then maybe TGS or even the Game Awards. All in all, we can’t do anything else but wait for Capcom to drop some information on the game’s release. On that note, you can follow the official Twitter handle of Dragon Dogma to get notified about the latest announcements about the upcoming game.
