Team Black have been disqualified from Moon Studio Mid-Autumn League for suspicious play. Read more to find out the exact details.

Moon Studio expelled the Chinese team Team Black from the Dota 2 Mid-Autumn League due to “suspicious play” at the tournament. Following complaints about the team, the studio investigated and tweeted its decision.

Moon Studio representatives also noted that they will no longer allow Team Black to participate in their tournaments. In the comments to the announcement, the studio also said that the case of foul play occurred in the match against iG Vitality, which took place on the morning of October 13.

Team Black is reported for suspicious gameplay. After immediate investigations, Moon Studio will be removing Team Black from Moon Studio Mid-Autumn League, with effect of today. Team Black will also be the first team to be banned officially by Moon Studio.

The Mid-Autumn League runs online from October 1st to October 28th. 18 invited teams compete for a prize fund of $ 55,000. The winner will receive $ 20,000.

There is no official word on what exactly happened behind the scenes. The ‘suspicious’ play reason was also not specified. The nature of the complaints against them are also unclear. We are to know more in the coming hours as this news gains more traction. But it’s still too quiet on the social media from both Team Black about the details of the incident. The team was made of all new names that were unfamiliar even in the Chinese Dota 2 community. There has been no defence from any of the players or the team organizers on the foul play or the subsequent ban on them. The players will have a hard time making their name. But we cannot be sure of the involvement of every player. More details should follow soon. And we will update the post with it.
