It is fair to say that the month-long tournament Omega League was an incredible success. The community loved the fun panels, late-night shows, casting talent and the production effort! It is almost on par with the quality that we get from The International in Dota 2 standards. The tournament with its hysterics grabbed a good viewership as last night, Team Secret went on to win the Finals. In a convincing fell-swoop, Team Secrets defeated OG 3-0 dominating this years’ tournaments in style. And in the late-night show, we had a secret reveal! Danko- the Dolphin came out and it is most definitely a meme.
Danko The Delphin- A New Dota 2 Hero? NO!
Please remove any misconception beforehand, this campaign is spearheaded by SirActionSlacks to fool you Dota 2 enthusiasts. There is no new Dota 2 hero coming this year but I must say they have put a lot of thought behind this. As a meme, Omega League talent unveiled a new hero, Danko the Dolphin and I must say I would love to actually see him in my favourite MOBA.

When I first saw the reveal I actually thought that it was a new Dota 2 hero, it looked that legit. But what they misjudged was the art content. Dota 2 has its own art style which most definitely did not match the contents of Danko the Dolphin. But it was a good effort.
