Doom The Dark Ages Save File Location Where is it

Depending on how you got your copy of Doom: The Dark Ages, whether through Steam or another platform, your save file location might vary slightly. Each launcher stores game data a bit differently, so we’ve broken down the locations for both setups below to make things easy, no matter where you’re playing from.

Steam file location

Here’s how to access your DOOM: The Dark Ages save files if you’re using Steam:

  • Open File Explorer on your PC.
  • Navigate to C (or the drive where you’ve installed Steam):\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata. Locate your Steam ID folder (it’s a string of numbers, unique to your account).
  • Inside the Steam ID folder, go to 1702000 (this is the folder for DOOM: The Dark Ages).\
  • Your save files should be right there! If you installed Steam on a different drive, simply follow the same path, but adjust for the location where your Steam is installed.

Sometimes, certain files might be hidden by default, making it trickier to find your save files. If you’re having trouble locating them in the paths mentioned, try making hidden files visible. To do this, simply go to View in File Explorer and check the box for Hidden items. This will show any files or folders that are normally hidden.

Battle.net save file location

Here’s how to access your DOOM: The Dark Ages save files if you’re using Battle.net:

  • Open File Explorer on your PC.
  • Navigate to C:\Users\<your user name folder>\Saved Games\id Software.
  • Look for the DOOMTheDarkAges folder.
  • Inside, go to base\savegame.
  • Your save files will be located in the savegame folder.
