Mark your calendars as Diablo 4 finally hacks and slashes its way through PC, PlayStation 4|5, Xbox Series X/S, and Xbox One platforms. Well, some players have already gotten access to the game as Blizzard has given “early access” to players who bought the Digital Deluxe and Ultimate Edition. If you want, you can also purchase either one of those editions from the official website to play the game right now. As many players are already enjoying Diablo 4 at the moment, few among them are curious about the campaign skip feature.
If you have played single-player games or any game in general, you will find that almost none of them have the option to skip the entire campaign. Stories are critical for single-player games, so including a skip campaign feature would be totally counterproductive for both the player and developers. Imagine playing God of War and skipping the entire story. Not something any sane player will actively want in such a game. However, Diablo 4 isn’t exactly a single-player game. ARPG veterans know how long it can take to complete a campaign. And then trying to do them once again after you make a new character will absolutely annoy most players. Thankfully, Diablo 4 does have a campaign skip feature. But how do you unlock it exactly? Let’s find out!
Diablo 4: How to unlock the Campaign Skip feature
Well, before you go and start skipping the campaign, you need to complete the whole campaign first using a single character. Once you finish the whole campaign, you gain the ability/feature to skip the entire campaign on your subsequent playthroughs. It’s as simple as that.
This handy little feature isn’t new to the series, as it was available in Diablo 3 as well. Including the skip campaign feature is certainly great since players don’t have to keep going through the story again and again whenever they start using a new character. While the story is clearly an important part of Diablo 4, having to complete it every time can become a chore really fast. When you skip the campaign in Diablo 4, you will directly spawn in Kyovashad. Furthermore, you will immediately be able to run dungeons, events, sidequests, and such. Now, you don’t have to worry about your new character being underpowered, as when you skip the campaign, the following will also carry over to the new character.
- Acquired Obols
- Farmed Gold
- Potion capacity increase from the Renown system
- Red Dust from Field of Hatred PvP
- Skill points from the Renown system
As you can see, there’s no point in worrying about having an underpowered character since you get all these. You should also know the fact that Altars of Lilith stats bonuses will carry over to all of your characters in Diablo 4. Anyway, that’s all the information we have regarding the process to skip the campaign in Diablo 4. For more guides on Diablo 4 and games in general, don’t forget to bookmark DigiStatement.
