Dead Island 2 Release Date for 2021 : Is it coming on PS5, Xbox Series X|S & Mac ?

Horror games are a great way of experiencing thrill and avoiding sleep at night. 2021 is filled with opportunities, as far as horror games go. We’ll see releases of horror titles like Back 4 Blood and Dead Island 2, among others. Being under development for over 5 years now, here’s what you need to know about Dead Island 2 release:

Dead Island 2

Dead Island 2 is the third and latest installment of the Dead Island series. The games follow a band of players navigating through a zombie apocalypse, much like Left 4 Dead or Back 4 Blood. Dead Island 2 is an action role-playing game that will follow its predecessors in terms of gameplay and storyline. The setting, however, will see a change as the game is reportedly set in various parts of California. The previous titles saw the players try an escape a fictional island infested with zombies instead.

Dead Island 2 Release

Dead Island 2 has had several hitches in its developments. Announced in 2014, Dead Island 2 Release will be a sight for sore eyes. The game has changed 3 developing studios. Dead Island 2 is one of the longest-awaited games to still be in the pipeline. For fans of games like Cyberpunk, we know the struggle all to well. The original development was taken up by Yager Productions, who eventually dropped out due to differences between them and the game’s publishers, Deep Silver. The production was then handed over to Sumo Digital and was under their development for about 3 years. In 2019, THQ Nordic reported the development of the game to go through yet another change. This time, the developers are Dambuster Studios, an in-house studio of Deep Silver Themselves. With no changes of yet, hopes are up as we expect the game to be released soon.

Dead Island 2 is available for pre-order on Amazon, with the release date set to 31 December 2021. The game will be released for PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
