Tuna in Dave the Diver

If you’re a fan of exploration and business simulation games, then MINTROCKET has something interesting for you. Their brand new (although it was in early access for 8 months) PC game, Dave the Diver, is an amalgamation of deep sea exploration, fishing, and restaurant management. The game’s v1.0 release came out on June 28, 2023, and has already garnered massive attention. In all capacities, the game offers a brand new experience to the players, where they get to catch different marine species for their restaurant and serve delicious dishes to their customers. As the name suggests, players assume the role of a deep-sea diver named Dave, who also happens to manage a sushi restaurant. For the restaurant, players will need to catch different types of fish, including tuna. If you’re wondering how to catch Tuna in Dave the Diver, consider reading this article until the end!

It’s important that you know how to catch different types of fish and other marine species in the game, as your customers and critics will make unique demands. If you don’t have different dishes on your menu, you won’t be able to serve your customers. These customers and critics make all sorts of requests, from giant squids to Moray Eels. In fact, you’ll be tasked with catching the Tuna in the game due to the customers’ demands. During the Tuna Party event, a group of customers will visit your restaurant and ask for tuna recipes. Once this event commences, more and more Tuna will spawn in the game, and you need to figure out a way to catch them.

How to Get Tuna in Dave the Diver?

Tuna in Dave the Diver

When the Tuna Party event commences, it’ll appear that the Tuna is relatively easier to catch. After all, Tuna always travel in groups, so you can simply use a net to catch a large number of these fish. However, as you keep trying to catch them, you’ll see that it’s not as easy as you guessed.

It’s important that you know which fishing instrument you’re going to need to catch tuna. The logical choice here is the net bomb. However, several players have reported that the net bomb is unable to catch Tuna as the fish can simply swim past the net or due to a bug. Once the net bomb explodes, you will only find a bunch of smaller fish inside it. However, we have a few other methods that you can try to catch Tuna in the game.

Automatic Net Bombs

You can use automatic net bombs instead to catch Tuna. These devices will be available in the Cobra shop, but there’s a catch. The automatic net bombs spawn randomly in the shop, so you might need to keep visiting until you can find and purchase one.

Steel Net Bombs

Instead of automatic net bombs, you can also use steel net bombs to catch Tuna. Similar to the former equipment, these bombs spawn randomly in the Cobra shop. Keep visiting the shop until you get your hands on a steel net bomb.

Harpoon/Guns

You can also use harpoons or guns to keep hitting the tuna until it’s dead. The issue, however, is that Tuna is a fish that swims quite fast. You need to be really careful while calculating the swim pattern and movement direction of the fish if you want to use the harpoon or gun.

Use Tranquilizers

You can also try to sedate the tuna with tranquilizers and then extract it using a drone. You need to upgrade your rifle for this method. The tranquilizers have a 40% chance of sedating anything they hit. If you can sedate the tuna and make it fall asleep, then you can simply get it to the surface using a drone.

So, these were some of the ways that you can try to catch Tuna in Dave the Diver. Try out all the methods to find out which one works best for you. And for more such content, keep visiting DigiStatement!
