For PC gamers, Mintrocket has a brand-new casual adventure game. Dave the Diver was released recently (after being in early access for about 8 months) on June 28, 2023, for PC, and it’s already a hit. In the game, players assume the role of a diver named Dave, who also owns and manages a sushi restaurant. And of course, he takes deep dives into the ocean, named the Blue Hole, to collect fish and battle various marine species. The Moray Eel is one such creature that Dave can collect and serve in his restaurant. However, since the game’s v1.0 release came out only a few days earlier as of the time of writing this article, many still haven’t figured out how to collect the Moray Eel in Dave the Diver. In Dave the Diver, when you manage your restaurants, you need to take care of the critics, who can provide you with different in-game items. If you want to progress in the game, serving and pleasing these critics is extremely crucial. Otto is one such critic in the game who will come demanding the Moray Eel Curry. You will only be able to catch the Moray Eel by diving into the Blue Hole at night. For this, you’ll need the Night Diving feature activated. So, make sure you’ve completed Duff’s Pink Delivery quest and defeated the Giant Squid. After you have completed these quests, Otto will visit your restaurant and ask for the Moray Eel Curry. Now, you can go and hunt for the fish.
Dave the Diver Moray Eel: How to Get, Find & Catch?
When Otto visits your restaurant and asks for the Moray Eel Curry, it will start a quest named “A Noisy Customer“. You’ll have to catch the Moray Eel as part of this quest. Remember, these creatures will only come out at night. So, make sure you start your hunting journey at night and have your harpoon, head torch, and net equipped. You will also need extra oxygen, as the hunt can take quite a while given how powerful these slimy creatures are.
Once you are fully equipped, it’s time to take the plunge. Dive into the Blue Hole and start looking for the Moray Eel. These creatures will be marked with a blue waypoint when the A Noisy Customer quest is active, which you’ll have to follow. Be extremely cautious while approaching the eels, as they’re not really friendly and will charge at you as soon as they sense danger.
Make sure to dodge the strikes and keep hitting the Eel until it’s weakened enough to be captured. Then, simply catch the eel and bring it back to the restaurant. Now, unlock the Moray Eel Curry recipe from the Research Recipe section with 2x Moray Eel and 1x Turmeric, and make sure that it’s on the menu (for the night) to be served. Once you serve this dish to Otto, he will offer you a fish farm, making it easier for you to breed and serve fish at your restaurant.
