Make Sure Your PC Meets The Game’s Minimum Requirements

The first and most obvious reason for the game’s crashing issue is due to hardware performance. Likewise, this issue is mainly the case for the PC version of the game. Therefore, make sure that your PC meets the game’s minimum requirements. Additionally, kill any background running apps and also ensure that you have enough memory.

Disable The Game’s Compatibility Mode On PC

In order to do this, find the game’s installation directory. Then, right-click on csgo.exe, and hit properties, then find the compatibility tab. Additionally, you can disable the “Run as Administrator” option as well. Finally, hit Apply to save changes. This can help fix the game’s crashing issue.

Open The Game Using The cl_disablehtmlmotd 1 Launch Option

Go to your Steam Library, and locate Counter-Strike Global Offensive. Then, right-click on the game and click on properties. Go under the launch options settings. Then, in the new window, type in ” cl_disablehtmlmotd 1 “. Finally, save your changes, and restart the game.

Re-install The Game After Doing A File Integrity Check

You can check the game’s file integrity before uninstalling to fix the crashing issue. A file integrity check can help find out about any corrupt game files. Consequently, you can uninstall the game and reinstall it to fix any corrupt game files. A new installation of the game can fix the crashing issue.

Make Sure The Game’s Servers Are Up And Running

The game’s crashing issue can be a result of the server being down. Therefore, ensure that the CS: GO servers are up and running. You can do this by going to the Steam Status site here.
