It is very helpful when your teammates ping the enemy so that you are aware of their location. But, this function seems to be not working in the Ground War mode in COD Modern Warfare 2 (II). Most players have been unable to ping the enemy in Ground War mode as well as other Multiplayer modes in COD Modern Warfare 2 (II) because others were misusing it for their own advantage. Players have claimed that Infinity Ward has silently disabled this feature in the game. A Reddit user posted a video where he was able to ping the enemy while the death cam was playing. After respawning, he noticed that the ping lasted for the whole match. This basically gave him a wallhack against that player for the rest of the match.
Well, this is a game-breaking bug that provides an unfair advantage to the players. Although pinging the enemy can be of great help during a match, the faulty implementation of this feature led to its demise.
