COD Modern Warfare 2 (II) unable to Ping in Ground War Mode issue: Is there any fix yet

It is very helpful when your teammates ping the enemy so that you are aware of their location. But, this function seems to be not working in the Ground War mode in COD Modern Warfare 2 (II). Folks have been unable to Ping the enemy in such matches. It looks like the issue has spread to other multiplayer modes as well. But, this feature has had a very serious bug from the very beginning. Some players were even able to abuse it in matches. Anyways, if you are also looking for more information, then you have come to the right place.

COD Modern Warfare 2 (II) unable to Ping in Ground War Mode issue: Is there any fix yet?

Most players have been unable to ping the enemy in Ground War mode as well as other Multiplayer modes in COD Modern Warfare 2 (II) because others were misusing it for their own advantage. Players have claimed that Infinity Ward has silently disabled this feature in the game. A Reddit user posted a video where he was able to ping the enemy while the death cam was playing. After respawning, he noticed that the ping lasted for the whole match. This basically gave him a wallhack against that player for the rest of the match.

Huge Bug: You can Ping an enemy during the death screen and the Ping lasts for the whole game, essentially giving you wallhacks on that one player for the remainder of the game. from ModernWarfareII

Well, this is a game-breaking bug that provides an unfair advantage to the players. Although pinging the enemy can be of great help during a match, the faulty implementation of this feature led to its demise. So, currently, players will not be able to ping in the game, until the devs fix this bug. We will further investigate this topic and update our article accordingly. So, don’t forget to stay tuned to Digi Statement, and happy gaming.
