COD Mobile add friends not working: How to fix it

About Call of Duty Mobile.

When it comes to offering a solid battle royale experience, Call of Duty Mobile has well-balanced gameplay that often makes players go for different strategies when fighting enemies. Like PUBG Mobile, players are dropped on a map, and from there, they have to find weapons, explosives, and healing items to equip themselves and fight enemies. To add more depth to the gameplay, COD Mobile has several other game modes as well that offers a different experience such as Domination, Team Deathmatch, Free for All, Kill Confirmed, and Hardpoint. Players can either dive in solo or they can get their friends to join them in matches and enjoy what the game has to offer.

How to fix unable to add friends.

After investigating this issue, we’ve come up with a few methods that you can try to fix the add friend bug that prevents you from adding any teammates.

Add friends from the Friends section

You can try to open the friend’s tab in COD Mobile to check and see if you’re able to add friends from there. Here’s how to do it.

  • Launch the game and tap on the “Friends” icon on the top right side of your screen.
  • In the “Friends” tab, the game allows you to send requests to people who you’ve played recently. You can also enter the “user ID” on the top right side to search for a player and add them.

Locate your ID

If you’re unable to add friends from your end, you can get other players to add you through your in-game ID. To do this, go to the Legal and Privacy section of the game in the Settings tab. You’ll see your player ID listed there.  Tap on the “Copy” button and send it to the player you want to play the game with.

Friend Request

Sometimes if you’re unable to add players is because they might have already sent you a friend request, but you haven’t accepted it. To fix this, tap on “Friends” and then tap on “Requests”. This will show you a list of people who’ve sent you requests. Now, click on Accept. They will now be added to your Friends list.

Server location.

Another reason why you’re unable to play with your friend is that you both are on a different server, which by default is the global server. Make sure that both you and your friend are on the same server.

Check internet connection.

If you’ve tried every method mentioned above and still aren’t able to add friends in COD Mobile, make sure that your internet connection is up and running as a slower internet connection can often lead to some functions of the game not working properly.

Login with the correct account.

You must make sure that you’re using the correct account to play COD Mobile. To do this, navigate to the “Settings” menu by tapping the gear icon on the upper right side. Tap on the “Legal and Privacy” tab, you’ll see the option to log out of your account on the bottom right. After selecting it, you’ll be prompted with a message for the confirmation, tap on “Ok” and log out. Sign in to your account and try to send a friend request with the user ID of the player.

By trying the methods above, you should be able to get rid of the unable to add friends issue in COD Mobile. We hope that you enjoyed reading this article, stay tuned for more updates at Digistatement.
