Can you ride a Sniffer in Minecraft?
Unfortunately, you cannot have any personal interactions with the Sniffer yet in the game’s Survival mode with cheats disabled. The developer has not implemented this feature for the newly released mob. But there is an alternate method for you to ride the Sniffer in Minecraft. You cannot control the direction of this mob, but you can just sit on the big guy and move along. For this, you need to be in the game’s Creative mode, then turn on cheats as well. After this, set your Field of View to ‘Quake’. Following the previous step, press the ‘T’ button on your keyboard to open the chat. Proceed to type in the following command:
/ride [Player Name] mount @e[type=minecraft:sniffer,limit=1,distance=..10]
Typing in this command will let you get on a Sniffer. To get off of it, Press ‘T’ and type in the following command: /ride [player name] dismount.
Note: Make sure to replace the [player name] part with your actual name in Minecraft.
