There are quite a number of weapons customizations as well as mods that are available in the new Call of Duty games. Likewise, games like Call of Duty Warzone 2 as well as Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 offer players the ability to create and save custom weapon mods. Although it is relatively straightforward, some players may be looking for the exact steps to carry out the process. Here are the required steps –

  • First things first, launch the game and head to the main menu. After doing so, you have to go to your weapons loadout menu. You can do this by going to the Weapons tab by pressing the R1 button on your controller.
  • Next, you have to select a weapon and choose Gunsmith. Likewise, you have to go to the Gunsmith menu of the current weapon.
  • You can then apply all the customizations as well as modifications that you want to the particular weapon of your choice.
  • After making all the customizations that you need, you have to select the Save a Custom Mod option. You can find this at the bottom left of the screen.
  • Now, you can use the default name for this custom save or rename it. After giving the name to your new custom mod, you have to select Save Weapon by pressing L2. Likewise, you are able to save up to 5 custom mods for a weapon.
  • You can also easily assign this custom mod to a new loadout slot. After doing so, you can go back to the Weapons tab and equip the Weapon. You can then select the Armory option under it to find which custom mods you want to use.
  • Finally, you now know how to save your custom weapon mods in the newest iterations of the COD games.
