Call of Duty Black Ops 6 Steam Deck, Lenovo Legion Go & Asus Rog Ally Support Details

Call of Duty Black Ops 6 has been causing frustration with a range of technical issues and, as a result, it has received mixed reviews from players. Nevertheless, this iconic franchise has a dedicated following, and many players might be eager to experience the latest installment on portable gaming devices like the Steam Deck, Lenovo Legion Go, or Asus ROG Ally. With so much interest in mobile gameplay, the question arises: can Black Ops 6 actually run on these popular handhelds? We’ve gathered the details to provide some clarity on compatibility with each device.

The appeal of playing Call of Duty Black Ops 6 on handheld gaming devices is understandable. Portable gaming is on the rise, and as handheld consoles become more powerful, we expect to see big titles like Black Ops 6 running smoothly on them. But what are the possibilities and limitations? Let’s get into all of the details!

Steam Deck

When it comes to the Steam Deck, first things first, Call of Duty Black Ops 6 is not Steam Deck Verified. That badge would have been a good sign for fans, but Steam Deck owners know that official verification isn’t the ultimate indicator of compatibility. In this case, however, the game cannot run on the Steam Deck due to its anti-cheat software, which is incompatible with the Linux-based SteamOS. This is a common hurdle with games that utilize specific anti-cheat systems, as they are usually not supported on Linux. However, all is not lost and there is a workaround for this. The workaround involves installing Windows (preferably Windows 11) on the Steam Deck. With Windows installed, you can use the device as a mini-PC, launch Black Ops 6 from your Steam library, and enjoy it on the go. For better performance, keep the graphics settings on the lower side. While this method requires extra effort, it bypasses the compatibility issues with SteamOS. But don’t expect good performance, as installing Windows can really take a toll on the Deck, thereby limiting its capabilities.

Asus Rog Ally and Lenovo Legion Go

For the Asus ROG Ally and Lenovo Legion Go, the game has a much better chance of running smoothly, and this comes down to two main factors. First, both of these devices run Windows natively, meaning there should be no anti-cheat compatibility issues, like with SteamOS. The second factor is the superior hardware specs in both the ROG Ally and Legion Go, which are more powerful than the Steam Deck. With better processing power and graphics capabilities, it should not have much problem running Black Ops 6 on the Rog Ally and Legion Go.

In summary, whether you have a Steam Deck, Asus ROG Ally, or Lenovo Legion Go, you should be able to play Call of Duty Black Ops 6 with the right setup. While the Steam Deck requires Windows installation for compatibility, the ROG Ally and Legion Go are ready to go right out of the box thanks to their Windows OS and powerful specs. We hope this guide helps you make the most of your device. Anyway, for more gaming news, guides, and tips, be sure to visit DigiStatement regularly!
