Bully was first released in 2006, and a sequel, commonly referred to as Bully 2 by fans, has had several rumours, leaks, and speculations about it online, some even going as far as confirming a release date. In reality, none of these rumours online were of any credibility, and since no official word was ever made by Rockstar about Bully 2, there are now doubts if the title is even on Rockstar’s radar at the moment. Let’s take a look at everything we know right now about Bully 2.
A well-known Rockstar Games insider named Tez2 has reported that pre-production for GTA VI was started by Rockstar sometime in 2015, and was strained due to the workload of Red Dead Redemption 2 and Bully 2. As a result, Bully 2 was reportedly shelved in favour of focusing more of the workforce toward Red Dead Redemption 2 and GTA VI. Yan2295, another famous Rockstar Games informer agreed with this information, meaning that the possibility of this being true is extremely high, seeing as two credible whistleblowers agreeing on a topic is a rare sight. While this may seem like the end and eternal damnation in developmental hell for Bully 2, there is almost no doubt that Rockstar Games will eventually, at some point in the future, decide to focus on Bully 2. This may come four, five, or maybe even six years from today, as Rockstar continues to work on GTA Online, Red Dead Online, and GTA VI. Obviously, the newest addition to the GTA franchise will demand a massive amount of man-hours, leading to the long wait for Bully 2. In the recent casinos’ update to GTA Online, players were able to spot a screen where four images of the halls were seen, a symbol that is synonymous with Bully. This may have just been as an easter egg or as a tribute to the game, but we cannot help but think of it as an affirmation of the fact that Bully 2 is still on Rockstar’s radar.
