Best V Rising Steam Deck Settings for high FPS & performance (2)

So you got V Rising running on the Steam Deck and you are all excited to take on the role of a vampire and explore the open world. But before you do so, you will have to make sure that you are getting the best possible graphics along with the highest possible frames per second. To achieve this, you will have to fiddle around with the in-game graphics settings. This can take some time, especially to optimize the FPS for the graphics you are satisfied with. Well, to make the task easier and a lot quicker, here we are with some of the best settings you can apply for high FPS and performance while playing V Rising on the Steam Deck.

High FPS, smooth performance, and stunning graphics are crucial elements in any gaming experience, and V Rising is no exception. This will allow you to react swiftly to threats and challenges. And that is not all; crisp graphics to go along with a high FPS will make the game a lot more enjoyable on the Steam Deck. So without further ado, let’s go through the best in-game settings to achieve the optimal FPS and performance in the game.

To access the graphics settings from the main menu or from the paused menu screen, head to the options menu, followed by the graphics tab on the left. Here, you will have to make the following changes:

  • Quality Preset: Custom
  • Screen Resolution: 1280×800
  • Window Mode: Fullscreen Window
  • Brightness: Preference
  • Ambient Occlusion: Low
  • Bloom: Low
  • Shadow: Low again but you can also try the medium option.
  • Volumetrics Quality: Low
  • Texture Quality: Low or medium
  • Anti–Aliasing: TAA
  • AMD FSR 1.0: Ultra Quality
  • Limit FPS in Menus: 60 FPS
  • Limit FPS in Game: Off
  • Max FPS in Game: Again, set this to 60 FPS
  • Vertical Sync: On
  • Motion Blur: Off
  • Depth of Field: Off
  • High Quality Vegetation: Low
  • High–Quality Atmosphere: Low
  • Blood Effects Enabled: On
  • Screen Shakes: 100%
  • Cloth Quality: Low
  • Cloth Update Rate: Low

With these settings, you are likely to get around 30–50 fps in the game while maintaining decently playable graphics.

Note

While these recommended settings serve as a solid foundation for optimizing your V Rising experience on the Steam Deck, it’s important to note that they are not the ultimate settings for everyone. Every player’s preferences and hardware capabilities may vary, so feel free to experiment and tweak the settings to suit your individual needs and preferences. Consider the settings we mentioned above as a starting point. Also, for most players, we recommend a blend of low and medium settings. This will strike the ideal balance between performance and visual fidelity so that your gaming session goes smoothly and is enjoyable without sacrificing too much in terms of graphical quality.

Well, you should now be able to enjoy the game on your Steam Deck with much better FPS and graphics. Anyway, don’t forget to bookmark DigiStatement for more gaming reads like this. Read more: V Rising Custom Difficulty Setting Not Working Bug: Is there any fix yet
