All of these settings can be changed under the options menu of the game. We have listed down all the recommended settings under all the available sections for you to try out. (source)

Controls and Cameras Tab

  • Player Control Settings: Player 1
  • Control Style Settings: Standard or Classic (Based on preference)

The other settings under this tab can be changed as per your preference and they do not affect the overall output as such. You can also change the keybinds here if you are not happy with the current ones.

Brightness Tab

  • High Dynamic Range: If you have a powerful gaming rig, feel free to use this feature. For mid- and low-end PCs, we recommend toggling it off.
  • Brightness: Your preference but 50 should be good.

Graphics Tab

  • Battle Screen Type: 1 Screen Battle
  • Windowed Mode: Fullscreen/Borderless
  • Resolution: 1920×1080
  • Resolution Scale: 100
  • VSync: Off
  • Anti-Aliasing: Medium
  • Shadow Quality: Off
  • Texture Quality: High
  • Post-processing quality: Medium
  • Effect Quality: Medium/High
  • Depth of Field: Low
  • LOD Quality: Medium
  • Grass Quality: Low
  • Motion Blur Quality: If Motion Blur makes you dizzy, you better turn it off. If not, feel free to try out the different intensities provided.
  • Camera Shake: Off
  • Destructive Effect Quality: High

While these settings provide a solid point to start, there are plenty of adjustments you can make to suit your personal preferences and hardware capabilities. We recommend that you tweak these settings to find the best balance between performance and visuals for your specific setup. Changing options like Resolution Scale, and Effect Quality will affect FPS, so choose accordingly.

Accessibility

Under the Accessibility Tab in the Options menu, make the following changes:

  • Player Control Settings: Player 1
  • Battle Assist: Custom
  • Combo Assist: On (Combo Assist fills in gaps during combos, helping you chain attacks more smoothly)
  • Follow-Up Attack Assist: Off
  • Dragon Dash Assist: Off (Features like Dragon Dash Assist and attack assists help chase down opponents but deplete key charges, so you should use them cautiously.)
  • Guard Assist: On. (Guard Assist can interfere with certain moves like perception parries or Z counter vanishes because it prioritizes blocking over precise inputs, especially for players using classic controls (where guard/block is assigned to the circle button).
  • Recovery Assist: On (Recovery Assist is recommended as it helps recover more easily without manual input.)
  • Revenge Counter Assist: Off (Revenge Counter Assist, while helpful, consumes skill points. It’s better to turn it off to save points for other moves like transformations or sparking.)
  • Left-Handed Mode: On only if you are lefty
  • Hint Window: On
  • Follow Rival Notifications: On

Well, those are all the best settings you can apply to enjoy Dragon Ball Sparking Zero in its full glory. We hope this guide helped optimize your gameplay experience.
